Formed in the Fall of 1997, Hurricane Junxion has been through some major changes in their short career. Starting out as the band Wanna-B, the line up consisted of rhythm guitarist Bill Street, lead guitarist Justin Street, Bassist John Wilson and drummer and lead vocalist Tommy Howard. They performed in clubs all over Southern Illinois and St.Louis MO. With major line up changes
occurring in the band it was hard for them to stay focused on the music. Bassist John Wilson had other major interests on his mind other than music and quit the band in the mid summer of 98'. Bassist Chad Russell then joined up with the band and they carried on. As the band's music and shows progressed, ego's ran high and sparks started to fly between Bill and Chad. In the late fall of 98', Chad was then replaced with bassist Craig Davis.
In January 99' the band decided, with a new line up, and a different sound, it was only right to change their name. On a stormy afternoon upon thinking of a new name that would fit the band's cutting edge the mood was set and the name Hurricane Junxion was spoke into existence.
Hurricane Junxion went into the studio in the summer of 1999 and released their first album entitled "Straight From Within". With an obscure mix of rock, classic rock, blues, and metal, the album is sure to be a success..
